Is Volatiles co-op or multiplayer?
No. Steam lists it as single-player only, with no announced multiplayer or co-op mode. The lab-nightmare narrative and the tile-choice economy are built for one player.
Who is making Volatiles?
Team Instant Defeat, a newly established studio, with 11 bit studios as publisher. 11 bit is known for Frostpunk and This War of Mine and for publishing roguelikes like Children of Morta and Moonlighter.
What platforms will Volatiles be on?
PC via Steam, with full controller support including DualSense and DualShock. No console versions have been announced.
What makes Volatiles different from other roguelikes?
You build the battlefield itself: each round you select one of three tiles, and tiles carry defensive structures, loot, and modifiers — including ones that make hordes spawn 100% more often on purpose.
